Nathan Scott a BCIS Hons. student at KEDRI was awarded the "Convergent Science Network of Biomimetic and Biohybrid Systems" (CSN) Fellowship to the 2012 Cognitive Neuromorphic Engineering Workshop, held in Capo Caccia, Sardinia, Italy. - 8th June 2012 - 12th Conference on Neuro-Computing and Evolving Intelligence (NCEI'12)
The NCEI 2012 workshop is organized as a pre-conference workshop held just before the WCCI'12 in Brisbane, Australia (June 10-15, 2012). - 3rd April 2012 - KEDRI Open Lecture on Advanced Algorithms for Machine Learning and Remote Sensing Image Analysis by Prof Jie Yang
Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Prof Jie Yang will be visiting KEDRI and giving a lecture on 3rd April at 1 pm in WY315.
- Prof. Kasabov was awarded the Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Distinguished Lectureship Program
IEEE Distinguished Lecturers are engineering professionals who help lead their fields in new technical developments that shape the global community. These experts:
- specialize in the field of interest of their Society/Council.
- travel to various technical and regional groups, such as Society and Technical Council Chapters, to lecture at events.

- Prof. Kasabov received the EU FP7 Marie Curie Fellowship for 2011 and 2012, hosted by ETH and Uni Zurich
The Marie Curie Fellowship allows an outstanding scholar from outside the EU to work with a European team for a period of up to about 18 months.
